BrewerRepair is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
That is the required wording. The rest of this page is the part that actually matters to you: what we earn, what it costs you, and what it does and does not change about what you read here.
What it costs you: nothing
If you buy a part through one of our links, Amazon pays us a percentage of what you spent. You pay Amazon’s normal price. The commission comes out of Amazon’s margin, not out of your pocket, and the price is identical whether you arrive through us, through a search, or by typing the address yourself.
Our Associates tag is brewerrepair-20. You can see it in any Amazon link on this site by hovering over the button and reading the status bar. We think a disclosure you can verify in two seconds is worth more than one you have to take on faith.
What we can and cannot see
Affiliate reporting tells us how many of a given item were bought through our links. It does not tell us who bought it, what else was in the basket, or anything else about you. We never see your name, address, or payment details, and Amazon never passes them to us.
Prices are indicative, always
Prices shown on this site are captured when the page is built or refreshed and are out of date the moment Amazon changes them — which for consumables can be several times a month. Treat every price here as a rough guide to what a part costs, never as a quote. The price on the Amazon listing is the only real one.
The same applies to availability and to which seller is currently in the buy box. We have no control over any of it.
How a part gets recommended
This is where an affiliate site either earns trust or loses it, so we will be specific.
- Fitment comes first, commission never does. A part is recommended because we have confirmed it fits the machines listed on that page. Commission rates across coffee parts are similar enough that steering you toward a pricier part would earn us pennies and cost us the only thing this site has.
- We say when aftermarket is fine, and when it is not. Where an aftermarket part matches on the dimensions that matter, we say so — those are usually cheaper and earn us less. Where a part carries mains voltage, pressure or heat, we say buy OEM, because the failure mode there is a safety fault rather than a bad cup of coffee.
- We tell you when not to buy anything. A blocked needle, an incomplete descale cycle, or a reservoir that is not seated are all free fixes, and our guides lead with them. Roughly the most useful thing this site does is stop people buying a pump for a problem a paperclip solves.
- We recommend vinegar over the product we would earn from where it genuinely does the same job, and explain what you trade for the saving.
What we do not do
We do not accept payment from manufacturers or sellers for coverage, placement, or a favourable verdict. We do not publish sponsored posts. No brand has approved, reviewed, or paid for anything on this site, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any manufacturer named here — brand and model names are used for identification only.
Where the links are
Affiliate links appear in product boxes and comparison lists on part, maintenance and repair pages, and every one of them carries rel="nofollow sponsored". Links to other pages on this site, and to manufacturers’ own support documentation, are ordinary links and earn us nothing.
